Hi, I’m Amro.

Hello, I’m Amro Abdalla! I’m a third-year CS PhD student at Georgetown University in the GUCV Research Group, advised by Sarah Adel Bargal. My research focuses on generative AI, diffusion models, multimodal AI, and AI safety and governance. I'm also interested in bridging the gap between technology and policy, aiming to equip policymakers with the tools needed to anticipate, understand, and govern emerging AI risks.
Previously, I worked as a data scientist at Dell Technologies in the 5G R&D team. I received my B.S.c. in Computer Engineering from the American University in Cairo in May 2022, where I was supervised by Mohamed Moustafa and Hesham Eraqi. I also graduated with minors in Mathematics and Business Administration.
